PassportCable

Material Provenance

A cable is not just 'plastic and metal'. It is a highly engineered composite. The passport records it all.

The Conductor

Tracking copper purity, stranding configuration, and recycled content percentage. Critical for both performance modeling and end-of-life recovery value.

  • → OFC (Oxygen-Free Copper) purity levels
  • → Tinned vs Bare vs Silver-plated
  • → Exact AWG/mm² metrics per run

The Dielectric & Jacket

From FEP to PUR, the polymer composition dictates environmental resistance. The passport stores the exact compound formulation IDs.

  • → Halogen-free (LSZH) verification
  • → UV and Oil resistance ratings (e.g., UL Oil Res I/II)
  • → Plasticizer declarations
